Well Tuesday March 15 2016 finally arrived and Flatdogs Camp is officially open for the year ahead. It has been an incredible experience for Jamie and I to see the staff and management work so hard as team to bring the camp to life. One of the most unique things we have witnessed is seeing how multi talented and co-operative the staff are with the jobs that need to be completed. For example Lamek is one of the camps chef’s though you would find him playing music and painting the chalets with no ladder, Lamek is really tall. Albert is a spotter who sits on the front of the safari truck and finds the animals with a huge light on night drives and a handy electrician.
The guests stayed in a safari tent, went on a morning and night safari drive and saw a leopard as they drove through the park entrance gate. They seemed very happy and dined by candlelight under the stars.
We went to bed last night very happy, tired though proud of our achievements and new skills.
The staff sound lovely, hard working and fun. So funny about the Telstra hat… Maybe you can pass on your old merchandise to Boyd Jamie!
John and I are so happy for you both-what a great experience. Sooo jealous of not having to shop or cook and the luxury of massages and no housework. Love, Al and John
