Roles and responsibilities as Camp Managers and frontline Guest Relations include:
Wendy and Jamie are committed to exceeding the expectations of our guests and here is a general over view of our roles in camp. Being located in a remote and rural area of Zambia and working in the hospitality industry almost every day we deal with a new scenario.
Meet guests into camp and show in to accommodation including wildlife and personal safety information
Booking and hosting early morning and afternoon safari activities pre and post departure of camp and evening dinners
Ensuring guest’s dietary requirements are managed
Arrange for celebration of special occasions on site and during safari
Transfer guests to and from accommodation and airport
Works with the restaurant and bar managers and staff to ensure the highest level of service is delivered
Assist with planning of guest movements and work closely with the safari manager and guides
On call for guest emergencies and take appropriate action
Jamie in addition:
Work with the workshop manager and teams on on-going maintenance of the camp and ensure tasks are completed properly and in a timely manner
Manage and be aware of improvements and adjustments that are needed in the running and operations of the camp
Ensure camp machinery is functioning efficiently, serviced and work with the various maintenance teams.
Wendy in addition:
Organising & hosting tours to the local village and schools, Project Luangwa, anti- poaching base, day spa and shopping
Hosting agent inspections, familiarisation groups, events and conferences
Manage family stays
Supervise, train and initiate enhancements in the housekeeping department
Handling enquiries and reservations in ResRequest and Proflight systems on behalf of agents and direct guests. Pre and post stay throughout Zambia.
Oversee kitchen inventory in conjunction with the Head Chef and Restaurant Manager
